It's been forever since I've blogged.... just gonna pick up here.

Maverick is 5 months today!!! Time is flying by. This little man is changing everyday, getting more hair, turning over, and sleeping better at night! We've been staying in since everyone around us is sick... Don't want to get "that baby" sick!!! Daddy came home feeling bad a few days ago and passed around some snot!!!! We're just getting ready for the Holiday and for Justins Grandparents will be here next week, so I'll have something to blog about:)

I turned 28 on Oct. 2nd.... getting closer and closer to the big 3-0!!! Went to Vegas to celebrate and forgot the camera.... Bummer! (Mav stayed here with Grana.... spoiled little boy:) Penn and Teller was Amazing!!! They do some crazy stuff..... We had sushi one night and Justin was open to eating whatever, so now we know he likes it and will take me again very soon!!! I spotted a few celebrities.... Kathy Griffin at dinner and Carrot top walking the strip...(the D-list )lol! We had a great time and I feel so blessed to be here at 28 with a wonderful family!! Thank you Justin for making my birthday so special... Love you boys!

I was looking back at my journal today and ran across my testimony written Jan. 10th '08.

LIFE WAS CRAZY FOR ME... I HAD A FATHER WHO ABANDON ME AS A BABY AND WAS RAISED BY AN EXTREMELY BIPOLAR MAN! MY OLDER SISTER PAST AWAY FROM AN ANEURYSM AT THE AGE OF 5. LUCKILY, I HAD A VERY LOVING MOTHER WHO KNEW (EVEN THROUGH HER OWN PAIN) THAT WE BOTH NEEDED THE LORD.

I GREW UP HEARING & LEARNING ABOUT JESUS IN SUNDAY SCHOOL. A VERSE I'LL NEVER FORGET: PSALM 27:10 Even if my father or mother abandon me, the Lord will hold me close. THOSE WORDS BROUGHT ME CLOSER TO THE LORD BECAUSE I FELT SAFE KNOWING HE'D NEVER LEAVE!

I'M NOT SURE HOW MY LIFE CHANGED AFTER ASKING JESUS TO COME INTO MY HEART, SINCE I WAS ONLY 8. BUT, AFTERWARD I REMEMBER BEING THANKFUL KNOWING I COULD TURN TO HIM AND HE WAS ALWAYS THERE. WHEN MY PARENTS (WHO HAD A HORRIBLE MARRIAGE) WHERE HAVING "DRAMA" I'D CLOSE MY EYES TO PRAY AND THE NOISE WOULD SOON DISAPPEAR.

BEING STILL AND ALONE WAS MY FAVORITE WAY. GROWING UP IN THE COUNTRY I'D LOOK FOR MILES AND SEE FIELDS ALL AROUND, THINKING.... "GOD DID GOOD!"

LIFE DID CHANGE AS I GOT OLDER. FOR A LONG TIME I WASN'T SURE IF "THE DRAMA" HAD RUINED ME... I WAS IN A RELATIONSHIP THAT WENT ON TO LONG. WE USED EACH OTHER AND I KNEW THAT WASN'T GODS PLAN.... I KNOW THIS WASN'T THE PLAN I HAD FOR MYSELF! I GREW FROM IT, LEARNING WHAT I WANTED AND WHAT GOD WANTED FOR ME.
IT WAS WILD..... JUSTIN JUST FELL RIGHT IN MY LAP. (that time I learned the easy way)

JUST KNOWING I AM WHO I AM FOR A REASON AND ALL THAT DRAMA MEANT SOMETHING MAKES ME FEEL BETTER.

NO MATTER THE AGE OR STRUGGLE, I'LL NEVER FORGET THE DAY I ASKED JESUS TO IN MY HEART AND HE BECAME MY LORD AND SAVOUR. GOD'S BIGGER THAN LIFE AND HE WILL ONE DAY HEAL ALL PAIN AND I'LL SPEND ETERNITY THANKING HIM FOR BEING SO FAITHFUL, HOLY, AND FULL OF MERCY!

I TRY TO REMEMBER THAT EVERYDAY GOD'S GIVING US CHOOSES & HE'S TEACHING US LESSONS. IT'S OUR CHOOSE TO STAY ON THE RIGHT PATH SO WE PLEASE HIM.

A day to myself...

Well, Vicki (my MIL) and I have decided that she'll keep Maverick one day a week. This is a wonderful thing, let me tell ya! Yesterday was the 1st day he was away for me for 8 straight hours!!! I really enjoyed it, but really missed him. When Justin got home with him I felt so bad because I was said "there's my baby" and all I cared about was getting him out of the car seat and hugging and kissing all over him! Poor Justin, I love him too.... :)
So, here are some pics I took when Mav got home- I really think he grow that day!

You may be wondering what I did yesterday.......?
1st off- I took a 30min bath! (never happens)
got to dry my hair (that's a big deal)
did a few things around the house
wrote a new post on this blog
went to get a PEDI, some lunch and stopped in Target and the Gap
I know all this can be done with a baby, but I can do things 10 times fast alone!!!

Maverick got a gift in the mail today... The cutest swim trunks ever! Our family is Vacationing in Florida this July and I've been looking for a swimsuit for him and haven't been able to find one that fits his little butt. So Erin and Reagan went shopping and got him a little suit with fish on it. It's adorable and I can't wait to take pics of him in the sand! O- and he got the sweetest card from Reagan, she said she can't wait to meet him and thinks he's a stud muffin! :)

Justin and his Dad got a boat!!! So, the two of us went to lake today. It was HOT, but I was glad to get some sun and hang out with my dear Hubby. I love him so much and thank God everyday he was born!!!

I've missed Maverick the last few days... Leaving him here and there for a few hours is hard.
Thank goodness for the Grandmothers.

Date Night

We went to Taco Diner and then to Lone Star Park. We stayed out till 11:) It was a nice night and good to get out of the house for a few hours. And after all the horses we picked LOST..... we stayed for the concert (Cross Canadian) See, we're not that old!

Maverick's hair is a WILD mess so we call him Kramer.

I call him Sugar Bug all day long!!! My Favorite:)
We also call him Mav, boy and THAT baby!

Justin mostly calls him son.. because he has gas just like his Daddy...
I'm sure we'll come up with more as he changes.

Words can't describe how proud and thankful I am to have you be the mother of my son! I truly could not have dreamed of having a better wife and momma for Mav! I have so much respect for you, for the way you carried and delivered him, and also admire you for the way you love us both! We are so lucky!! The First Month of Mommyhood

We've survived month one! Maverick is a wonderful baby all the way around. I've had some problems nursing (everyone does at first) so now I'm pumping like a mad lady! I don't love it but you do what you have to... He's a pretty good sleeper, but like clock work every 3 hours that boy has to eat!!! I was hoping he'd wait 4-5hours at night, but we're still new at this. He falls asleep on my chest and then I put him down... Right down in our BED!!! LOL! I know, it's bad. I can't help it, it's easier! I keep saying I'll start putting him in the pack and play next week... I'll let you know how that goes. He is my first baby and I'll do what I want!!! HAHA.

I finally let my mom stay over last week... I got 8 hours of sleep and felt like a new person! So, I'm thinking this will be a weekly thing. HOPEFULLY!?!? Both mom and mom inlaw wanting to help however they can... It's wonderful! Sleep is a little over-rated, but I do like to cuddle with the hubby ;) Once in a while!

Maverick has so many little buddies!!! It's gonna be great when he's older. I can't wait to get together with the Mommies and do play dates...
We're already planing on baby yoga! How fun is that!!!

May 7th 2009, 6lds and 10oz.

I was admitted for observation because of headaches and seeing black spots (the day before my blood pressure was a little high, they told me to chill and I didn't) so that night they started softening my cervix and in no time I was pushing! It all happen so fast... I almost didn't get my epidural in time!! Justin was a great push coach, but he almost passed out holding me for the epidural- they told him not to look!!! And, the nurse was AMAZING helping me every step of the way. I just remember Justin and her going on and on about how "good" I was doing........ I'm a show off so they had me thinking, "just give me a second I'm gonna be the best pusher you've ever seen!!!!"
I only pushed for about 30min. :)
When Dr. Heckman put my baby boy on my chest I think my heart stop... Justin and I just look at him and then each other and cried. I have never felt this love before and as Justin reminded me the other day, the way we look and love Mav doesn't even compare to the way God loves us and the cross...... How wonderful is that. I keep saying I don't deserve all this, but one things for sure I give Maverick to my Lord and Savior!
Our Family has been BLESSING us through acts of service. We have best family in the world! Everyone was at the hospital and we couldn't wait to show him off. Justin almost ran out the door to get them, forgetting that I still needed some work. LOL!! What an UNBELIEVABLE father, I more in love with him today than ever before.
Well, this is the begaining of a new life for us and we'll keep you posted:)

Blood Pressure

Went to the Dr. this morning and as always I peed in the cup and then they took my blood pressure.... Mine has always been VERY low- Doc said it seemed kinda high for me today and wanted to know how I've been feeling... Well, I'm 38wks pregnant and feel like a mess!!! I've had some really bad head aches (that wont go away) , feel like the end BETTER BE near, contractions have started, my feet get purple at the end of the day and I have a big vain down my leg that's looking pretty HOT!!!! Not to mention I wear beast pads and use hemroid cream daily.....LOL! O the joys of pregnancy! So back the point.... I have to collect my pee for 24hrs to see what's going on... (one more thing to add to the list!) If it comes back negative Dr. Heckman will induce me in a few days! I'll let ya know....

I'm ready to get the show on the road... Does that count?
Lord, please just not today on Cinco de mayo!! LOL!

And I almost forgot the best part....... We got to see Mav today!! They said he has a full head of hair and he's 7lbs.... SUCH A CUTE BOY!!!

Real or Fake??

Reading up today on contractions.... I've had Braxton Hicks before and now that it's getting closer I need to know the differences between real or fake!!! I just read; call your Dr. when contractions get to five minutes apart and last 60 sec. for a least an hour.. Pretty much I'm timing myself right now because I have no idea?!? I can still breath and talk normal, my belly just gets really hard and kinda hurts... only lasting seconds? I did take a long walk this morning. I guess I'll call the Dr. in an hour or so if it keeps up!! My guess is that Maverick will be here by the end of the week, but who knows maybe sooner? I got together with my mommy friends last night to talk about labor... got some great info. but everyone has a different story! I'm such a planer and this drives me nuts!! About to get up and see if they slow down or not.... I'll keep you posted! Looking forward to getting the boy out!!!!

Ready or Not

Justin and I are always on the move and I keep wondering...... What if my water breaks HERE?? What if Justin's in Houston and I go into Labor?? What if, what if, what if?? We have a few weeks until our "due date......
Dr. Heckman said 90% of women deliver two weeks before or after the due date..... but he wont let me go longer than May 20Th!!! We'll see?!?! I guess that means it could be tomorrow??? The waiting game has begun and it's NOT fun! He better get here before 23rd because he has a photo shoot that day!!!!! =)

Our brother in-law Matthew did an amazing job on the pics!!! It took a few hours and I was hoping to get 5 good ones.... We all did great and got 20 or so that I really like!!!

Don't know what to do with Maternity pics, but I'm sure it'll be sweet to print a few for the house and Mavericks room..... And looking back at them when he's a Big Boy! I can't wait for new born pics...... I'm sure I'll be the mom that never puts the camera down... Shower Blessings

Two unbelievable showers.... One was given from my Mom in-laws friends Kathy and Beth, two of the sweetest ladies that really went over the top... I got all kinds of goodies for Maverick! He is a spoiled boy:) What a blessing it was looking around the room and knowing everyone was there out of love for my Family and our soon to be Son! Thanks again Ladies

My girls rock!! Jessica, Erin, Carrie, and my Mama had a "Mommy Shower" for me..... I got fun stuff at this shower, I'm just as spoiled as Mav :-) Love you girls so much and thanks for making me feel SO special!

I'm as ready as I'll ever be. Now that it's weeks away, time is standing still! I guess because we're all done with "getting ready"... I think....

Am I a blogger?

I guess we'll soon find out... I'll start by saying 9weeks seems like a very short time! I can't believe I only have that many more weeks till I'm a Momma! My body is changing over night and Maverick parties in my belly from about 8pm till 3am.... Wondering if that means he'll be a bad sleeper? I keep asking Justin what he thinks about being a Dad and he just gives me this ear to ear smile!!! Melts my heart every time.. God has giving me such an incredible husband and friend, I can't wait to see him as the Father of our son! Tear.... Really I almost teared up, well I am pregnant. This point in my pregnancy all I can think about is......... What in world is Maverick gonna look like? Will he have light or bark hair? Blue or brown eyes? And the big one, how much will he weigh in at??? I mean people......., that one really gets me! I need to know all my "stuff" will be normal again!! This sounds funny, but I've been praying for myself and all pregos that delivery will be a breeze and my "stuff" will be fine and Lord please no cutting!!! I hear people saying things like: 48 hours of LABOR.... Now I don't really understand what that means yet... But my guess is... It ant good!! Why do some Ladies pop babies out in a matter of minutes and then you hear about days??? I'm sure we'll never fully understand that one!?!?! Well, my time here is done and I guess I'm a blogger.... In the last few years my title has changed alot!!!! From wife, to mom to be, and now a blogger! HA! What's next?
